What is your deer hunting situation?

The last couple of years I have benefited from having an awesome friend who lets me hunt on his place; he hunts on mine. With all places combined there is about 700 acres we hunt consistently for deer along with an additional spot we hog hunt primarily that is a pretty big chunk at around 1000 acres. We deer hunt it too, but it's his dad's "club," so it's not a place we go to as much as the others. ETA: no high fence
All stands, blinds, shoot-houses combined total out to around 17 "spots." This year will be the most options I've ever had BY FAR which makes it difficult sometimes when trying to decide where to go. So far, I just look at which spots are best for the wind that day and go from there.
Just curious what everyone here has to work with. I've been very lucky to have a friend like the one I got. He actually has a username but doesn't post much because he couldn't get any work done when he's on here.

I have a couple of stands on family property that are "mine", and like you I know a few guys that also hunt and we switch around and swap out hunts. I know 2 groups of guys that run dogs, but I haven't hit them up in a couple of years... I prefer still hunting.

I only have one deer spot, out the kitchen window while drinking a cup of coffee. I don't care a thing about deer hunting but usually kill 2-3 a year to keep some meat in the freezer and jerky. Ducks, now that is a sickness. I will chase a damn duck through 5-6 states on both private and public.

Parents own 88 acres in Lafourche parish. Most is swamp. Some good areas to hunt but hard hunting.
2 box stands. 7 bow stands.
My dad and I are on a lease in MS. 2000+ acres; 9 total members. We have 23 bow stands up (just ours) and there are 45ish box stands on the place.

Its diminished.
Used to hunt Pomme De Terre School Board property here in Avoyelles... They sold it a few years ago and the guy has the whole property high fenced.
Have been deer hunting maybe twice since then in Williana WMA

I hunt public land and go with friend with nice places. In fact, I had two invites to hunt tomorrow. Had to make a tough choice and I hope I chose right!

600 acres high fenced - 4 box stands
100 acres low fenced - 1 box stand
South Texas, we bought it for hunting purposes only. My dad, brother and I are the only ones that can call a shot on a buck inside the fence. Outside is free range for guests. We have big deer. Overall pretty happy with my situation

My dad and I hunt on 65 acres he owns in Summit, MS. He bought it about 8 years ago and it was horse/cattle property. We have worked on it for years and have 3 food plots with box stands and 4 ladder stands in the woods. He and I hunt it along with a couple guys we invite from work from time to time. Looking forward to bringing my 4 year old son along with me this year for his first hunts. The box stands are great for that.
The property isn't huge but it is surrounded by property owners that live on their land. Not many hunting clubs around, mostly older families that meat hunt from one or two spots in their "backyard." We are the only ones that have food plots/feed year round, and the results are showing up on camera. Now we just need to start putting them on the ground.

Joined a hunting club for the first time this year. 1300 acres with 14 members. All stands are club stands, but I have two stand that I have been feeding for bow season so I've been hunting them only so far. Once rifle season really gets kicked off I'll move around more and hunt some different stands. the property is only 20 mins from my house so it is really convenient.

Public hunting NWRs intersperced with a couple of bids to some primo clubs. Typically see more deer on one hunt at primo spot than all year on public.

I'm in a 1700 acre lease in South Arkansas. Plenty of deer and pigs, but we don't kill many bucks over 100". Honestly, I hate the hunting at my lease , but as long as my dad is around and able to hunt this is where I'll stay.
My parents and uncle also share 46 acres in west central Arkansas that usually has some good deer on it. I'm in the process of trying to buy my uncle out. If I can get his part I'll hunt it a lot more than I do now.

Haven't had anything consistent the past few years.
Currently lease 140 acres. Its super thick and have one food plot and one open field that hasnt been clipped in 3 or 4 years. Its the kinda place where I always see deer and try not to disturb it much and can let young bucks walk. Only issue is I am the only on that can hunt it.
Hoping next year to be able to get a 360 acre lease. If the price is right ill have both and lots of opportunities of returning the favor to friends that have let me hunt their places

I've got pretty good hunting on my land around my house. I shoot them out of my shop, off my front porch and have a box stand in the back and a couple lock ons. Got a 2000 acre lease on the big muddy in Tensas parish that's pretty solid. Now have a company lease in west Tejas that I've yet to set foot on.

Have an uncle who owns around 100 acres in Pointe Coupee parish. Surrounding clubs shoot 8pt with some form of a spread enforced. Great part is he only has a couple stands on the entire property, and we really only hunt 1.. The stand pulls 3-4 really nice bucks every year.
Going to try to join a lease with a buddy next year in Mississippi. I miss the club and campfire away from home.

have a lease in MS. 5500 acres give or take. unknowable # of stands. 44 food plots in the hills. unknowable # of plots in swamp.
buddy has a place near Vicksburg on a island. it is reel good.
I have a climber 12 yards from a persimmon tree that has fruit. I'm not in it.

My mom and uncle own 80 acres in simsboro, la that we have 6 box stands and a pipeline that runs through it and a primitive campsite with 2 old trashy campers to sleep in. It seems larger than 80 acres bc we hunt mostly the edges and are surrounded by land that no one hunts. I'm also in a lease in Oil City that's 2000 acres just to run dogs. We kill our meat in simsboro and go to Oil City to have fun.

300 acres of family land in MS. Didn't do anything this year to prepare, except put out feeders. I am not very optimistic about this season, but we didn't put the work in so no complaints.

Currently relocating to Austin, TX area and searching for places to hunt there this season.
