Seals and Special Forces are well compensated for their work. An E-7 can. Clear close to 90k annually with regular deployments, special duty pay, demo pay, jump pay (halo pay is a little higher) dive pay, language pay, per diem in non combat zones, special clothing allowance, significant periods of tax free status, hefty bonuses (150,000 bonuses were the hot deal for a while as well as 72,000 for language skills with a re-enlistment) full medical, dental, unit specialized phyiscal training experts, soecialized physical therapists, college opportunities, civilian technical education etc...

Non sof guys of the same rank dont bring home 60% of what a sof guy does. The deal is 20 and you get retirement seal or no seal.
