this is all, for better or worse, on monty. he didnt ask for his highest paid player to struggle, but now its up to him to do something to make it better. leaving the situation as is (starting EG/playing him 30 mins) with a "let him shoot his way out" mentality is a failure of leadership in my view. i hope they are working on solutions

I understand what you're saying, but EG has been very strong defensively which is the only reason why I would be against reducing his minutes. Even with his offensive struggles, he is a better option than Rivers b/c of the great defense he's been play thus far. Like I said in my previous post, give him a little more time and his offensive game will come around. We are only 4 games into the season. Just b/c he's in a slump early that's not a reason to reduce his minutes yet especially when he's putting forth great effort on the defensive end.

There's a ton of misconception when it comes to Gordon and how valuable he truly is.

The tiny sample size of 4 games from Austin Rivers this season pretty much statistically (advanced, per 36, per 100 poss, etc.) demolishes any season Gordon has had as a Hornets/Pelican. It's a small sample size, but that should put things in perspective. The funny part is Rivers hasn't had any crazy break out games. He's just playing solid basketball on both ends of the floor.
