i feel like too many fans are thinking LSU can re-create the magic it did vs ole miss and that may be true but bama is a better team than ole miss (i'm aware they've played and the result).

LSU has improved since early in the season and so has bama but i feel like fans are setting themselves up for dissappointment. it would be another huge upset if LSU won this game.

I agree. The OM game took a monumental effort by the defense to keep the game close long enough for LSU's bumbling offense to put 10 on the board. If Miles and co. plan to run the ball 50 times against Bama, then it is likely going to take an even better defensive performance by LSU. They have absolutely improved since the first part of the season, but Miles would be putting a ton of pressure on the defense if that is the offensive gameplan.

To me, this is just another version of 2010 and 2012. LSU tried to be very conservative until they had no other choice but to allow the passing game to make plays. When Miles finally relented, the offense took off. While no one is as good as Cooper, I think overall LSU has better WRs. LSU hasn't asked Jennings to do a lot, and he hasn't done much, but we've seen him rise to the occasion when he absolutely had to make plays. If LSU wants to have any chance in this game, they can't be afraid to rely on their passing game.

I think The Chief is aware of the existence of Cooper. I also think he knows that rattling a QB is not only effective, it is fun.

I wonder if anyone filled Cam in on how important third down conversions will be? I am guessing he knows.

yeah they aren't going to re-invent the offensive game in this game, but i do think we'll see more zone read and more rollouts by jennings. possibly 3-4 downfield shots to dural and co. to try to back off bama.

and of course, 1-2 trick plays that are probably coin flips of actually working.

If lsu runs the ball 50 times, i think they win. That means they are running all over them.
