I could care less what other people choose to do. My concern is for my kids. Its going to be hard explaining why its legal. My approach thus far has been to explain that life is a marathon race and these things can distract you from realizing your goals. Half the battle in life is showing up and just being part of the race.

Also I knew many in high school that stopped doing drugs after indulging in weed. I also knew many that went on to heavier drugs and ruined their life.

The gateway claim is not completely false.

Further
What its really about is tax collection.

So why not decriminalize all drugs?

No harder than teaching them not to smoke tobacco. Be honest and lead by example.
