I saw a new house a few months ago that had Kitchenaid appliances and they looked really nice. The builder said that he had $13K for the kitchen appliances which included refrig, gas range, oven, drawer microwave, two dishwashers.
They looked very nice and if you delete the refrig and one of the dishwashers it may meet your budget.
