Historically governments in La. Have underpaid their employees, but made up for it with extreme benefits. That is one reason we have these bloated public service pension programs.
It was a way of kicking the can down the road and letting future generations pay the bill.
We guess what it's time. Underfunded pension programs, high rates for healthcare, generous holiday and sick leave plans, and it's time for raises?
Pay people what they are worth , and feel in all these generous benefits.
