Thoughts on Dan Claitor's poster comparing him with Garret Graves?

I bring this up in part due to the long thread several weeks about Graves' education.
I was unaware he went to Bama. That's disconcerting....

Makes a very strong case

I couldn't give a shite where Graves went to college (only those in the district too dumb to move beyond college football rivalries would care), or that he didn't graduate. Scott Walker didn't graduate, and he's in my personal Top 2 preference for 2016.
I'd look more at the lack of a private sector resume, his ties to carpetbaggers like Billy Tauzin, and does he have the same D.C. residency issues as Landrieu??

The lack of a degree along with the lack of private sector experience all goes together to paint a pretty unflattering picture of Graves.

For the record, my comment about Bama in the OP was facetious

Claitor is by far the best choice for the 6th district. He's libertarian leaning republican that's his own man his resume is not based in political patronage like Graves is.
I do love Graves cute family though from the ads.

That's an old school Louisiana political tactic. Haven't seen it in a while. Play up your achievements while downplaying your opponents, or spinning his positives to seem negative.

Yeah, but you know that card is being played by his opponents in the district, hoping to capitalize on the fact that there are some idiots in the district who will opt not to vote for him based on that.
FWIW, I'm hoping Claitor wins, but that has to do more with other issues highlighted on that flyer.

I haven't decided between the two myself. I like parts of both of them. You (and the poster) make some good points.
BUT
Claitor is a little...weird. Not always in a bad way, but not always good either.
Graves, is very sharp, even without the degrees. I think his experience (mostly in congress) would help him hit the ground running. Both are moderates, but Graves actually works better with people.
Both would be good, but neither is perfect.

My guess, and this is simply my guess, is that when he moved to work for CPRA the market was in the toilet and it made sense to keep it.
I don't think it's the same thing at all to compare with Landrieu but makes for a good talking point.

Garret Graves lives in the Baton Rouge Garden District, a couple blocks from me. This fails to mention working for the Jindal administration. He worked for his father's engineering company (private).

He also worked for Vitter and Tauzin changed to R in '95. Not sure when he started with BT but I'd think later than 95.

I don't care what letter Billy Tauzin has behind his name, a piece of crap is a piece of crap.

I'm not praising or bashing either guy, I just saw this on Facebook and found it interesting. As I've said before, I worked with Graves closely in DC about 8-10 years ago.
I never knew anything about the Alabama part, which really doesn't matter, but surprised me bc I'd never heard that anywhere.

Claitor touts his education, and mocks Graves' education...
and manages to spell "assistant" incorrectly on his campaign poster.
Nice.
