According to Jeremy Hill's Bio on LSU sports.net : LINK
It goes:
JV - 1001
Dalton Hilliard - 901
Faulk - 852
Hill - 755
Currently LF has 657

Doesn't this only count regular season games, and SEC Championship games? I think Faulk eclipsed 1000 in the bowl game against that scrub coach from Michigan St.
So JV would have had 2 more games over Hilliard and Faulk.

10 or 11 games?

JV also had 14 games to get his yardage. So LF will have to do it in 13 games.

Would need 345 for the outright record - 4 games remaining (in all likelihood) - so he would only have to average 86 1/4 - definitely doable.
ETA: If he needs 1002 in the regular season - tougher - he would have to average 115 even, per game - that seems unlikely based on the RB by committee.
