Do we have any information concerning whether she bonded out?

I'm guessing she wasn't in jail, since she moved to Florida between arrest and trial.

Lan Le lives in Florida now and will be allowed to undergo probation supervision in that state

I only thought Judge Ware was crap before I read this article. He's a whole lot worse than any description I could come up with.

quote:

Judge Ware, who convicted Le of second degree cruelty to a juvenile, announced he would not put her in prison-- because he believes it would serve no purpose. He says the former foster parent still has a lot of good to do.
quote:

Several deputies walked out during sentencing and clearly, Ware was not pleased. He said from the bench that he was doing what he thought was right and didn't care who likes it or not.
quote:

Those who left during the sentencing have been ordered to come before Judge Ware on Friday morning.

The original article wasn't clear on when exactly she was sentenced, so it was possible that she had moved after sentencing but before the article ran. You'd be surprised how long it sometimes takes for the media to catch wind of things like this.

That said, the issue has now been cleared up. Sounds like she didn't do much time at all before bonding.

Somebody mentioned O'Reilly earlier in this thread. Book it, if O sees this...he will hang that rotting albatross right around that Judge's neck on National/prime time TV. That alone, would go a long way toward justice; and would likely result in a ton of pressure to punish the offender.
