Linky poo
Beautiful disaster?
Experimental piece?
Attempted sabotage of Kiedis?
All of the above?
The more I listen to it, the more obvious it becomes that John was fricked up out his mind. The backup vocals were horrible and with Frusciante's dedication I refuse to believe he would frick up a great song like that.
On another note, how sterile was that song with Dave Navarro? I like Dave and appreciate his style of playing but god damn he just didn't fit in with their style. They made a solid record with him and all...but damn...he just wasn't John.
Same with Klinghoffer. He isn't terrible, but nobody can match John.
How do you top this?
ETA: I'm a HUGE Frusciante fan. Nobody can play to their emotions like he can in this day and age IMO. He's amazing.

Do you even Scar Tissue, bro?

That's funny because I'm almost finished with readig Scar Tissue and got to the part about the SNL show. I had to watch it, since I hadn't seen it in a long time. It's pretty obvious that john is high as a kite. He claims that he was not trying to screw up Kiedis, but was just trying to improvise and play something interesting.
Scar Tissue is such a great book. It's amazing that Kiedis is even alive today. Not only from the drug abuse, but from other stupid shite that he did that should have killed him.
