re: Brown is closing in on NH

Whoa. Late in this Kuster-Garcia debate, the TV station had asked the viewers to text the subject they most wanted to hear the candidates address, and of all possible issues, a full 50% of the viewers wanted them to talk about gun control and the second amendment. Even though NH is a Northeast state, it's a very pro-gun rights state, and young Ms. Garcia jumped all over that one because Kuster is a strong gun control advocate. A gift from heaven for Garcia and in the minutes following that question, the young lady has taken the initiative and taking the fight to Kuster. Kuster will still "win" the debate in the newspapers, but not nearly as decidedly as it looked earlier. Five more minutes to go and the moderator asked them which Halloween candy they identified with (yes, for real, it was meant to lighten the mood). Kuster said Snickers and Garcia came back with Kit-Kat.

Somehow, both answers seemed very fitting.
