That's just said. As i've stated before, they are in a transition phase. They are losing and phasing out all of their old fans and gaining a new fan base.

Yall really think this season compares to South Park's standards?

The current events format is just shitty to me. South Park used to be general social commentary laced into hilarious plots with well thought out solid story lines driven by the characters.

Now it is a direct current event commentary that pays almost no attention to the actual characters and many of the episodes have no rewatchability. This is because they are no longer subtle. They jam in your face exactly what the episode is about and if you don't know the issue or don't care about the current issue they're specifically talking about, you might as well just turn the television off. And if you go back to rewatch some episodes you have to remember what the current event was at the time before you can even enjoy the show.

A great example of how good the show used to be is the douche v turd episode. Whether or not you know that is about Kerry and Bush it is a great episode. It's timeless commentary on politics. They don't make episodes of that quality anymore, and havent in a while.

I own every single season of South Park. I've watched loyally and religiously since i saw my first episode when i was 11. The decline of this show is miserable to watch.

I'm not saying they have to completely do away with the current events. But for the love of god please give us one random, character driven, hilarious episode with a great script and a solid plot.

Link? I've basically since day one. I still find it hilarious.

I dunno , it's not over. But it's not not bad, and I don't feel the need to try to be some hipster douche that says everything was better way back when.

Then you just must not care about anything. It's been funny, and years from now when these rerun they'll remind me of all the stupid shite that happened in 2014, and I'll get a good laugh out of it.

You sound just like the people that say the first few seasons are basically unwatchable.

Maybe you've just turned into a miserable person with no sense of humor. if you haven't laughed this season, I don't know what to tell you.
