There is no probably. In 2006 he set the passing td record while also setting the single season completion % record as well. I know JRUSS did nothing in the NFL, but his 2006 season at LSU was the best season for an lsu qb , ever. There are a few lsu qbs with better career numbers and accolades but none touch his 2006 season.
Russell had a higher completion percentage, more TDs, and more yards, but Mett had a higher Passer Rating and a significantly higher YPA by over 1.2 YPA.
Both had truly outstanding seasons in their final year.
