I think in that situation since there are so many "team 1 beat team 2 but team 2 lost to team 3 who team 1 beat" situations here wouldn't it go to the highest ranked team?

BCS rule got replaced by best SEC East opponents combined record - which seems kinda b.s. to me. Just replace BCS with AP.
