THere were quite a few calls, but the call back on the OM TD pass went our way - as it should have.
Oh, he clearly stepped out but there was also an abundantly clear OFF PI pick block that went completely uncalled even though one official was looking directly at it. This is the same call from the end of the ND/FSU game.

I don't know if it has been discussed but on that long pass play that lead to their td the ole miss wide receiver picked our guy which lead to the back getting so open. I'm not sure if pick plays are illegal in NCAA like they are in the nfl but it was definitely before the pass was thrown

1.) Inadvertent whistle
2.) missed call
3.) watch the replay. Was a false start.

VERY ARGUABLE HOLDING CALL! You've gotta be smoking some pretty serious dope to not think that was holding

Yep, the OM WR pulled Adams down as he was making a move for the INT right after Mills DPI. BAD no call on OPI.
I thought that the DPI on Mills was questionable because the ball was so poorly under-thrown and was virtually non-catchable. Treadwell sold it well by stopping and coming back right into MIlls and forcing the exaggerated contact, savvy play by Treadwell.
I thought the OM DBs and WRs were allowed to make too much contact while the ball was in the air, but I also don't want the game to start looking like the NFL with yellow laundry all over the place. OM's offense relies heavily on rub routes.
Fournette's hand trick was incredible and the refs screwed that one up, understandable, but they must be constantly trained on not blowing the whistle early.
False start was legit, but hard to accept because obviously they were intentionally trying to draw OM offsides to get 3rd and 2, but oh well.
BIG win for a young team that overcame adversity.
Here's to a renewed monster defense!!!!

It is. See ND/FSU game.
Rub routes are common and WRs are taught how to do it. Usually not called unless it's blatantly obvious.

We overcame several obstacles last night, both ref- and self-inflicted. Yet, we still dominated the game.
Just to name a few:
"Inadvertent whistle"
Missed PI call against TQ on 3rd down inside the 10 (first drive)
Missed FG
Dropped INT
Fumble inside 1
Another dropped INT
Another fumble
INT
23 yard punt
Another INT
Missed offensive PI against OM
Etc.
That's how good we were on defense and in the running game. All those mistakes, and we still won! Great game.

Because the refs realized that they fricked up so they said frick lets replay the down.
Look the refs were far from perfect last night but yall should read a rule book before showing your lack of football knowledge. On an inadvertent whistle the offense has the option of taking the results of the play where the whistle was blown, or replaying the down. This is standard from peewee ball all the way up to the NFL

Fournette fumbles and OM recovers on the two. OM player picks up the ball, runs into the endzone and is tackled. Refs call a touchback and the ball comes out to the 20. Why isnt it a safety when OM runs the ball into the endzone and is tackled?

C'mon now, the ball wasnt ever in possession of a Rebel until it got into the endzone

His momentum took him into the endzone. Touchback.
On that defensive PI. That ball was so under thrown Treadwell had no shot at catching it. I would love for refs to stop bailing out QBs like that but it will never happen.

Why was that crew working the game? I've seen that white hat before doing LSU games but that shite crew is usually working the bottom feeder SEC games.

The refs weren't great, but we won inspite of missed calls and turnovers. Damn entertaining game IMO.

Holy retard!! We had 4 turnovers to 1, missed a FG, dropped 4 picks including one that led to your ONLY score. It should have EASILY finished with a 20-0 final in our favor. Accept the fact that your team never had a chance and are now mentally unraveling and will lose to auburn and MSU and again go to a shite bowl.

I watched it. It was poor refereeing, he wasn't down, but it took super slow motion to determine that. I guess the inadvertent whistle was just a mistake, but there has to be a better solution for their admitted mistake. At least the replay booth called him out on the td pass later as a make up. Herbie was lobbying against the overturn. There was inconsistent calling of PI throughout. The false start could not have possibly been seen by a human eye, it was the slightest wiggle of his right hand.
But, all's well that ends well. It made the victory all that much sweeter.

Such as?
Can't let the play stand when players hear a whistle and stop playing. Giving the offense the option to keep the play or replay it seems reasonable.

I responded to a post stating that the referees tried to frick LSU. And im saying that if the referees wanted to frick LSU, then that Ole Miss TD in the second quarter would have stood, and at 14-0 the game would have been very different the rest of the way. in fact, it would have been over at that point. that kind of holding happens on every play of every game. the fact that the TD was called back is proof that the refs WERENT trying to screw LSU.
