I have to get a flu shot for my job or I'm fired if I don't comply.
Even if I wasn't made to do so.....I would still get one though.
All the people saying the flu shot gave them the flu.....it takes 2 weeks for the shot to protect you. So if you were exposed to the flu before those 2 weeks...you can still get the flu.

Scruffy has to get it for work and he hasn't gotten the flu yet. He also spends 90% of his time around people who have the flu. Take that for what it's worth.
