IIRC they cover the 6 most likely strands that will occur that year. They definitely work if you encounter one of those 6 strands. i would definitely recommend getting a flu shot, but I would avoid going to the LSU health clinic if you have insurance. I went my freshman year it took forever. Ever since then I just went to Winn Dixie pharmacy and my insurance paid for it.

This may be correct. I just know it doesn't cover all strands.
