I'm not understanding why this is a schedule 2 drug. I asked my best friend, who is a pharmacist here in SC, and she said it is still schedule 3. That's not possible. It would be the same schedule everywhere. Evidently she was wrong, I guess.

yep. drugs.com has codeine listed as schedule 2

She's probably thinking of a codeine combination medication because that is what is most frequently used. They aren't necessarily schedule 2.
