Wild Flag. 2/3 of Sleater-Kinney back in one band and while it was good, it's just... okay. It was really missing Corrin Tucker screaming like a banshee.

And now... they are back. And the new single is awesome. And I'm in a wonderful mood. Which now recontextualizes Wild Flag into the test start for the S-K reunion.

Oh, and Grizzly Bear is one of the few bands on earth that makes dad rock look vital and exciting. Man, millineals like some boring f'n bands. Everyone is afraid of turning the amp up and rocking out. Yawn.

Pretty solidly my favorite REM album but it does have a different feel than what they'd done to that point.

My pick:

Three Days - Pat Green

After listening to the greatness of George's Bar this over-produced and synthesized album is just a turd. But I guess it worked for him, he sold a lot more albums after going Nashville.
