the spil may have done some damage in specific areas, but I doubt it had any major effects.

The way that situation was handled was a joke. The gvt should have let the people who kill wells kill the well. They should have let those people do their job instead of adding more red tape.

the major screw up (after the blowout) was the dispersant, the oil could have been contained or burned.
