re: OT dads, how do you deal with bullying?

My older son was bullied a lil bit back in the 90s on the school bus in Mandeville at the middle school. My wife told me about it and I told Jr to just kick his arse. Of course this was unheard of on the Northshore at the time. My wife protested to violence so we compromised. I called the principal and told him he could handle it or we would. I told him in no uncertain terms. The next day everything was cool on the bus. Well they got off the bus and Jr kicked his arse. I had to go to the school and bla bla bla. Being from Mississippi it didn't go to well bu they knew where we stood and had no problems going forward. Tell him to stand up for himself, it will fix itself.
