AJ can make the long pass down the field, sometimes ... He can also make the short pass, sometimes. Just like how Mett was.
when Bill Walsh would evaluate players in the draft for the 49ers, he focused more on their highlights and best games instead of their bad ones. He thought that showed what the player was truly capable of becoming, despite whatever mistakes they might have made between those great plays. if they were physically capable of doing something once, they should be able to do it again.

so, with Jennings, we know that he CAN throw an absolutely great deep ball, even while getting hit.

and while rolling out

and we know he can make a strong intermediate throw

and that he can make plays under pressure, like here against Florida, on 3rd and 25 while down late in the 4th (btw Jennings is standing a little over 30 yards from the sideline, on the 25, and Dural catches it on the 27. unless Im mistaken thats about a 60 yard throw, and his fricking feet arent even set).

and that he can put great touch on the ball

now, obviously he's struggling overall and no one is happy with the passing game, but we do know he CAN make these throws, and we know that because I'm fricking watching him do it right now. he just needs to put it all together, and hopefully Cam can at least get him closer to that point for the next 2 games.

Nice work. Jennings seems to do better when there's a sense of urgency. Arkansas, Wisconsin, and Florida. I guess he doesn't have time to overthink the situation, and just plays on instinct. Jamarcus had similar tendencies. We need to get THAT Anthony early in the game.
