quote:

what we perceive to be "black" is what we see on TV
I've grown up around black people, overwhelmingly I worked with black people more than anyone else and what I see on TV is harmless (except for the news) what I've seen and heard in real life matches up quite well with the statistics and the common perception of black people

I had an employee a few months ago say that even though o.j. was guilty she's glad he got away with it and then went on to give the racial reasons as to why. She didn't think any of this was abnormal to say to me, etc. (and I don't give a shite)

I've come to understand quite well though, black people care more about being black than anyone else...the rest of us don't give a shite, but we're not going to not notice out of fear of being branded "racist" it is what it is...

and I think if you heard me speak quite frankly on the matter and about white people in the south during the "good old" plantation days and what an entire crock of shite that image is, you'd find it to be genuine...some times you can group things by irrelevant things, but in the late 20th and early 21st century, it's because those people group themselves by those things

again, what about Russell isn't black enough? Why would that be necessarily bad? I'm fascinated by the stupidity of it all, but that's how I see it.
