I've always though percy was a lazy POS, still drafted him in fantasy, if he's on the field I want to watch him, I still want to control him in madden and make stupefying plays.

Russell Wilson could be a mega a-hole for all I know, but that wasn't the complaint levied.

And this is really it.

What do we really know about the players? Just look at what has happened to Adrian Peterson's image.

Do you really know?

Seems like there's two possibilities here, and neither one adds up to me:

(1) Russell Wilson is a jerk - if this is it, then so what? I kind of like Jay Cutler, but I bet he's a huge douchebag. It doesn't seem to be an issue in Chicago. I know they had a locker-room situation last Sunday, but that revolved around losing 3 home games in a row. Also, I know a lot of people who say that Peyton Manning is nothing like his public image, but that doesn't seem to have caused him any problems.

(2) Russell Wilson isn't black enough - We will see how this plays out, but my gut tells me this is the real issue. He's well-spoken, hangs out with white guys (oh, the humanity), doesn't have a police record, etc.

If the "problem" really is that he isn't "black enough," that's pretty pathetic. If blacks aren't a monolithic group, and I don't think they are, shouldn't Russell Wilson be free to be himself?
