Hard to give an objective opinion here since I am a parent. Total honesty, I wouldn't trade my two out for any others. Before I had kids, I guess I would've said the first option maybe, but that answer would've been wrong.

It's part the kid, mostly the parent.

Some kids don't require as highly a skilled parent as others.

There's no simple answer really.
