I understand the reason, but doesn't it have to be every subject every single night though??

My son is in 4th grade but only gets homework two nights a week and it is usually 2 hours worth. He does have to do a spelling activity every night (his choice) they give lots of things he can choose from he usually does spelling city on the computer. Not much homework at all really but this school district doesn't send home a lot of homework...they do a great job of getting it done in the classroom.
