PPP is one of the better polling firms, so an incumbent being at only 44% mere weeks from an election is not good. Democratic herding of mexicans to the polls could change things, but the republicans should win this one.

The poll also shows that Udall (the incumbent) only has a 37% approval rating.

Watched the Udall interview where he couldn't name three books he's read. Embarrassing. Even more embarrassing when he asked if that part could be edited out.

Another one who needs to go.

This is the one to watch for me.

First time they are going with mail ballot election with in person voting too.

In person voting started Monday.

I know it was a presidential election but Gop ballots led early voting by 2% but when the votes were tallied it was Obama +4.1% in the early vote.

Last numbers I saw from early voting in Colorado were GOP 46/Dem 31. 80,000 total which is 4.3% of total ballots in 2010.

yeah, that was a palinesque moment.

the thing is udall has been pretty good on the NSA thing, he at least hits on it as opposed to ignoring it.

He will get my vote unless he is getting trounced then I vote libertarian.

so your bashing of Palin is only because she is GOP?

A DEM doing far worse is no big deal?

Still gets your vote unless it's not helpful.

This sums up all attacks on Palin.

So, you're not voting out of conviction but out of protection. Hard to trust a man who doesn't stand his ground.

Well it was quite similar moment if you ask me, I think it was worthy of a critique.

Oh I am voting out of conviction, I don't like gardner. That is my conviction. he isn't getting my vote. Now who I do vote for, still tbd. Probably udall.

FTR, I didn't vote for udall in 2008.

4 of my family members in Arapahoe County will be voting for Gardner. They seem to think its 50/50.

gardner is most likely going to win. Although I have seen a bunch of udall activity in my hood in the last 2 weeks.

Is it true that Udall's primary focus has been on women's reproductive rights issues

Absolutely. Even PAC ads have all been some variation of birth control, abortion, bla, bla, bla. Hence the Mark Uterus nickname. His campaign recently started airing an ad trying to boost his foreign policy and anti-NSA bona fides, but they're a comical attempt at pulling his head out of his uterus. Gardner doesn't do much for me, but Mark Uterus is beyond disgusting.

Here in Iowa this has been the strategy for the last 2 weeks or so, Joni Ernst wants to criminalize all abortions in any case.

At what point does this strategy not be effective anymore and voters get sick of it?

abortion has gotten people to the polls pretty consistently for almost 30 years. I doubt it stops working this time around.
