I was there as well. To this day, I tell people at UGA about that very series and try to explain to them "OK, imagine the loudest you've ever heard Sanford Stadium after a big TD. That was the baseline level of crowd noise during that series."
Everyone has heard of "not being able to hear yourself think", but that was the only time in my life I've ever experienced it.

I hope you came back for 2008 when y'all had a pick 6 on the game's first snap. Ugh.
Definitely a better experience for the UGA fans that game.
