I wish he had a few more failures... and a few less scandalous abuses of federal power...

Please explain how any further gun control stops a crazy kid from murdering his mother, stealing her legally owned guns and going on a killing spree?

Please, explain.

The true failure is that Holder isnt sitting in jail at this very moment.

That just sounds funny. He really has never had that ability. Only legislatures do.

We know Chuck "the three branches of government are the executive, the senate and the house" Schumer shouldn't give him the lesson.

We screw ourselves every election cycle.

I didn't know that crafting and enacting legislation was a function of the Department of Justice.

So he is sad about failing to suppress freedom.

What a totalitarian mindset.

That's exactly what I thought when I read that. If he did have that power, my guess is that he would have probably used it.

Yeah, I was coming here to ask why Holder thought it was his job to get gun control laws passed.

Do Liberals understand the first thing about how our government is actually supposed to work? It seems that they only care about social engineering for their desired outcomes and they use whatever position of power that they can attain at any level of society to implement their vision of what the society should look like. It is really ridiculous.

What if we had a president who ran partially on the platform of executing and enforcing the laws of the land as passed by Congress? What if we had a president who really sought to restore Constitutional power to Congress and who pledged to work with the Congress in enforcing their laws? What if he ran on a Constitutional platform and educated the American people as to what the Constitution actually said and pledged to bring that balance back to our government?

If only we could get a Constitutional Law professor to run for president. That would be fantastic.

Yes, Democrats believe that attorneys general should have a say in the legislative process, i.e. if it isn't what they like, they either don't defend it or they fight it (it being their own legislature).

See: Texas, Wendy Davis and current attorney general Greg Abbott.

Ladies and gentlemen, you can't fix stupid.

The fact that the former Attorney General considers something that is outside the scope of his job as his biggest failure says everything about what we have been dealing with not only with Holder, but with the Obama administration in general.

Liberals just keep creating their own reality and then mock/deride anyone who disagrees with them as being hate-filled bigots. The ignorant masses go along with them because they want to be seen as "cool" and tolerant and they give no thought whatsoever to outcomes or consequences. The Progressive Tide Must March On! Forward!

To what, they do not say. But, the what ends up being a small elite with all of the power and money and the masses with bread and circuses and no work being taken care of by the government. Everyone has complete sexual liberty with no consequences and anything that keeps you from doing what you want is seen as oppression as more and more power is collected by the few who make the laws and organize the people to live in subservience while calling it freedom.

That is the end goal. The Road to Economic/Political Serfdom but personal license without responsibility.

Holder was probably using the language loosely. He probably meant, "His biggest failure was that he couldn't influence gun control legislation".
