Simple plays like that would open up the run game. You know what else helps? Screens.. Check downs to rbs.. RB swing routes. RB wheel routes.. Who am I kidding.. Let LF7 run those routes (he's shown against Sam Houston that he's got hands).
Match LF7 with a linebacker and LF7 should win most of the time.

LF7 ran a wheel route against UK. He was covered tight.
Travin Dural had 3 steps on his man over the middle heading for the right side of the end zone... it was an easy TD.
AJ looked LF7 the ENTIRE time and eventually threw the call into the cheerleaders over LF7's head.
I saw that play and realized AJ can't come off the primary receiver.
We have what we have, fellas.
