It would take a king to implement that idea because the current school rating system penalizes a school for transferring and isolating an ill behaved student in the schools for misbehaving students.

I know it sounds hard to believe but that's the way it is. If a school principal wants to clean up his school from the miscreants by transferring them out to the detention schools, of which EBR has two by my last count, the principal's school rating takes a hit.

The current system is totally opposite of what you propose, and that comes from the state level, not the parish level.

By chance,I recently had a random discussion in the home of one of the administrators of these. The stories...

It's true, local reform can always be sabotaged by Federal over-reach. That is the MAIN problem here. St. George is still subject to every failed federal/state policy that EBRPSS is.

In with the new boss. Same as the old boss.
