I don't have a dog in this fight, Russian. I'm on the sidelines watching this spectacle because that's all it really is. I just wanted to point out that he seems to be a special case where he was fortunate enough to get his kid in a magnet school, which I agree is the way to go in EBR. But there are thousands of students who don't get that type of education in EBR.

I suppose the argument that you would hear in rebuttal to that is that SG schools would be just as good as EBR magnet. But that's no guarantee and who knows when, if ever, those schools would reach that point. Like you've said, this vote doesn't even create a school district.

Only a fool would believe that. And it completely ignores the schools in SG have a total seating capacity of approximately half the number of students who live in what would be the new SG district, and that excludes any private school transfers back into the public school system.

So immediately upon the new district being formed, half the students would not have a place to sit in a classroom nor are there enough classrooms to put new teachers into.

But no new taxes would be needed to fund any school expansions.

You don't have a dog in this fight and you don't have much knowledge of the overall situation.
