Figure I'd ask y'all and not the FNB. I have about 20 doves that my son is dying for me to cook. I am sitting on patio watching the saints. Anyone have a bond recipe for simmering them in a BI pot....tia

Brown them, cook down some onions and garlic, season doves, put them in the pot with a can of chicken broth. Cover/Cook until they fall apart.

10 in a gravy & 10 wrapped in bacon w/ cream cheese & fresh sliced jalapeño on the pit.

What time should the OB be there?

Make a gravy, Fry down a few pieces of bacon for the grease to use to brown the dove, season doves and lightly coat with flour. Brown them down very good, take out and add trinity. Scrape bottom of pot and and some chicken stock, add doves back and put on low for 2 hours. A lb of sausage added would help as well. Add cornstarch and water slurry at the end to thicken.

I brown mine really well then add can of ro-tel, onions and saute. Then I add water, scratch pot, and a little roux and a few drops of worcestershire sauce. Oh and I like sausage so I start by cooking some and using the grease from it to brown.
