And when children are involved
Never been divorced but a co-worker said you will never be rid of the bitch untill your dead when you have children.
That would be miserable.

100% accurate
I divorced a little over 3 years ago. Emotionally, I was over the relationship years prior. I only stayed because we had a child. I finally realized I could still be a good father without being with his mother.
Once I came to realize that, it was done and very quickly.
Everyone is different. For me, I went and got some strange the day I moved out and never looked back.
She and I were able to keep the peace. It was really pretty easy for me because I honestly didn't care.
The only real problem is that she hasn't gone away. I still have to talk to her every couple of days and see her constantly. I still have to deal with her laziness and stupidity to a certain degree. There's nothing I can do about it. However, it's worth dealing with her because I have my kid about 65% of the time.
Take the bad with the good. I've got a great relationship with my kid. I'm now engaged again to a woman who has made me happier than I have ever been and she too has a great relationship with my kid.
Life is good, it's up to you to make the most of your situation. It's not going to be easy, but you will be fine. Keep your head on straight and go live your life. Do what makes you happy.
