But he did play in all the other last 6 games of their season including 2 games where he was listed in the box score as "C/2b".

You're correct and I was wrong about the last week of the Cyclones season. Their website has the last four games in a different list from the all the other games.
So Tyler did not play in the last 5 games of the season but was playing everyday up to that point.
