Because West Africans are not our responsibility.

I'm sympathetic to Americsn citizens. I know this sounds harsh to some, but only US citizens should be able to return. On their way in they are quarantined and if they don't like it then take their chances with the Africa healthcare system. I think this is fair.

Some of ppl (i.e aide workers, missionaries) would disagree and they want to help contain the virus to help stop the epidemic.

how is it fair that only ONE foreigner out of the millions that have probably traveled from the west africa to the US since the outbreak began was sick?

Also as far as the Yale case goes:

This nation does a lot of much bigger stuff that's not our responsibility, do you oppose all of that stuff too. Do you think W was wrong to help Africa fight AIDS because it's "not our responsibility"?
