If a U.S. citizen has this then they should be able to return for treatment.

otherwise they are dead.

If they have it, then they can give it to al the other passengers. Treatment isn't 100% effective.

Allowing one guy to infect 50, for example, means tat even with treatment more than one could die just to get one guy home.

What about when aide workers decide to not go to west africa because they don't want to be quarantined and more ppl die in africa? All that needs to be done is screen for fever which is already done in the ebola countries before passengers board a plane, and in the connecting airports and airlines have the legal freedom to deny entry to any sick traveler. When they get here all they need to do is monitor their temp and if they develop a fever go straight to the freaking hospital and make it known and understood that they have been to an ebola country.
