I think this is a real good offer because right now the roster is devoid of big, run-stuffing DEs (With the exception, maybe, being Lewis Neal. I'm not sure where he's going to play in the future, but his stint at DT could be very beneficial for him in the run game if/when he goes back to DE). Now, don't misread me, there are some very good DEs on the roster, but all of them besides Neal are under 250 pounds.

Stopping the run is the weakness of the Defense right now. Although the main issues are at DT, a big DE like Lewis can help get some push and add some size and strength to the D-line. Also, big DEs can be rotated in for specific matchups based on down and distance and offensive personnel, plus it helps keep your pass rushers fresh.
