what would you have these churches do? ignore social issues to avoid being "political"?

Hopefully if these pastors have actually done sermons speaking on homosexuality, they've addressed the act and not called out any specific people, which is the whole point. The church sometimes forgets that sin is the enemy, not people. So if the city of Houston is trying to get them for some kind of hate speech, if they don't mention anyone in particular, do they have any ground to stand on?



I never delve into politics, so I'm probably way out of my element.

Stay out of political lobbying, or pay taxes on their income. Preaching against sin is one thing, lobbying is another.
