NHTIGER,
Give us the latest on the Senate race in NH.
I still see Brown has some ground to cover. Is there enough time and what's his chances?
I have a thread on page 2 about a New England College poll released on Thursday and posted today on the RealClear Politics site.
It's the first poll of 33 NH Senate polls done so far that has Brown leading. It's only by 1 point, 48-47, but it is encouraging. I've been drowning in Shaheen ads since April, at least 5 or 6 Shaheen ads to every one Brown ad. But now Brown has opened the money chest and he's matching her ad for ad. Shaheen has been a seat-warmer in Washington after being a decent governor up here. Her energy level appears to be way down of late, but she has Hillary coming in to help shore her up. Clinton will be here on Sunday, Nov. 2nd for a big "Women's Rally" for Shaheen, the female Governor Maggie Hassan and both of NH's Congresswomen, Carol Shea-Porter and Annie Kuster. All four of NH's major races this year have incumbent female Democrats and they're hoping having the event with Hillary on Sunday (two days before the election) will dominate the Sunday and Monday evenings news broadcasts.
While all the women are getting off watching the Fab Five rally their hearts out that Sunday afternoon, the menfolk up here will be watching the Denver-New England, Manning vs Brady game at 4:30 PM that same day.
Oh wait, this is NH, where women love the Patriots as much as the men do.
Maybe not such a scheduling coup after all.
