do you think it's good? i've had numerous opportunities to land it, but passed due a huge # of people saying it tastes like soy sauce. that beer seems likes it's one of those love it/hate it things

It's definitely a polarizing beer. Very sweet. Diabeetus sweet. But I've never thought it tasted like soy sauce in 3 or 4 opportunities to drink it.

I have a 2012 and 2013 DL that I plan to break out around stout day...I'll be sure to grab some fried rice and report back on my findings.

I don't get the soy sauce thing.
I have seen a lot of people criticize it by saying it brings the Diabeetus. I get that. It's very heavy on the sweetness. But it's still a wonderfully complex beer. I'd just think of it as dessert.
I grab one to just to tick it.
