I'd say it was worth it a few years ago. Now that AHS is not longer paying for freon (or whatever coolant is used in a/c nowadays), it's not really economical because they won't replace the unit.

Within the first three years though, I got one a/c unit replaced, a new water heater, and a new garbage disposal. I spent about $2000 total with AHS in those three years. I'd say I came out way ahead.

But my upstairs unit needs to be replaced, and AHS has not been so kind with helping me out. Seems like it goes out twice a year and each time, AHS sends a different repair company that claims the coolant is low and just adds some.
