scam... although i had 2-10 pay me for a new microwave... shitty thing is they apply a deductible and service call from your max amount when you tell them I need a new microwave, they require to pay a contractor to come look up and write up a $700 repari bill for a $300 microwave.
I have no clue which company you are referring to. There is no "dedcutible" with mine. There is a $50ish service call fee you pay on the original call. After that, if its a covered issue, they pay 100% to fix or replace. Some objects have a max amount. In my water heater case, it was $500. They paid the max because I fought with them for a week (screw up in the claim procedure). I did NOT have to replace it, just as a good faith sign, the reimbursed full amount.
Also, I forgot the icemaker went out on my Fridgidare, and they fixed that (minus the $55) and it was actually a Sears repairman they were contracted with on that brand.
