When Bose hit the early market, I was underwhelmed by the final product. Yes, they were loud for size, but had pathetic response at the high and low end. It was concentrated "mid-range"- they have improved that over the years, but are still way overpriced and overrated.

I remember the direct/reflecting series they had at one time that were fairly impressive. The newer, computer/home theater based products are completely "meh".
