I was a sales manager and was very successful; but there were a coupla years that went pretty bad. my point is that in those down years there was a lot of struggling and "pressing". the adversity tested each and every one of us and things looked very bleak indeed. we had some heated meetings and accusations flew about each other and about my leadership (behind my back of course).
but it made every damn one of us stronger; at least the survivors. we emerged as a better unit and incomes soared the following years.
desperation is a short term word. the season lasts longer than a person can be desperate. what i'm trying to communicate using this analogy is that this team will emerge stronger from having stood up and fought adversity. there may be some that fall aside and it will be the weakest. the strong will get stronger and LSU will not only survive but get back on top.
having said all that, our coaching staff just can't whiff on signing OL or DL anymore. we sign way more than our share of skill players but we need to double down on the lines of scrimmage.
