Crowton's first year of 07 was great O. 2008 was scary bad. Stud's first year was 2011... 2012 got him fired. In came Cam in 2013 and a great offense. Now his second year. I get the QB pattern that goes with this... But is there something happening between Year 1 and Year 2 with the Offensive direction? Or is it all personnel?

I just don't get how a qb going 3/14 is on the play calling. He can't throw the ball to an open receiver for him.

Big difference between last years QB, WR's, & RB. But I also don't think play calling has helped much with this young group.

All of the incoming OCs inherited a senior QB their first year.

Crowton came in for the 2007 season and had senior Matt Flynn. (Flynn should have been followed with Perrilloux, but instead was followed by Hatch, who was not experienced, and the freshmen JJ/JL... understandable drop off)

Studrawa was promoted to OC going into 2011 (I think); inherited two seniors: JL and JJ. His next year was Mett's first as starter. Mett had barely any playing experience with LSU... It is debatable whether the offense was better in 2011 or 2012. And for the last 2 or 3 games, 2011 offense was not good at all.

Cameron's first year, he gets Mettenberger's last year. His 2nd year, he's got two very inexperienced QBs.

1st year = senior QBs
2nd year = freshmen or inexperienced QBs

That is your pattern.
