re: $9 CREE vs $15 GE 'smart' LEDs

Certain dimmers work with certain LEDs from what I gather. I'm my house I used all feit led br40s and on there site they list dimmers that work. No buzzing and dim nicely.

As for the 130v bulbs I don't like them...they are not as bright as there 120v counterparts. That's part of the reason for them lasting longer.

My main issue was cfl sucks and led up until recently had a low color rendering index score. Regular incandescent has 100...most LEDs and cfl have around 80 and they wash out colors I find. The Feits I just put throughout have a 92 cri and look pretty much like the incandescent they replace. 100w of light using 19w in a br40. Few more years and there will be more high cri options.

CREE makes some high cri style bulbs but they probably cost more.
