The defense did give up a ton of yards, but they were also on the field a long time. If you watch the second half of the second quarter the defense is gassed they can barely stand. The defense is better then it looks they just need to get some help from their offense so there not on the field as much.

You are correct in all of this, but you will get nowhere on this site with most of these kids. They want blood and they want it NOW. They don't won't to hear positives. They only want negativity. The truth is that the play calling was highly conservative for a reason. Still, the line was opening up some holes....and had some success....before drive killing mistakes by the QB. On defense, I saw significant improvement by the DL....and the secondary played good coverage. Auburn made some plays...you got to give them some credit there. Sometimes it is just poor scheme or busted coverage, but sometimes, teams execute.

They gave up 270 plus yards in the first quarter. The most a Gus team has gained in one quarter. The first quarter. They should have been gassed, because they were chasing them the whole time.

Harris missed wide open receivers, and ran when he should have thrown. If your QB can't make throws, you have to adjust and run. Auburn knew that and stacked the box.

but part of the reason they were gassed was they couldn't stop auburn from making first downs. no way can you blame the shite storm that was LSU's defense Saturday night on the offense.

did you not notice that auburn scored like on every drive in the first qtr?

That excuse doesn't fly far when you take into account that Auburn was marching down the field at will from their first possession. It was 17-0 before you could blink.

Make no mistake. Auburn would have kept scoring as long as they had to do so.
