there was no strike zone on the inner half of the plate, until there was. It was maddening to watch

Kemp struck out on an identical pitch in the same exact location that was called a ball the pitch before. Same shite happened to card batters all night. I hope he never does another game in October

Exactly.

And I agree with these hitters. These pitchers are too good to give them any help.

I actually think umpires miss calls up and down in the zone all the time. They really have no grasp of the strike zone. Stop giving pitchers calls on balls two inches off the plate, and start giving them calls on the ball right down the middle at the top of the knees. Hitters at least can actually hit those pitches.
